Haute Couture Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 18 : Top 5 Takeouts

Haute Couture Fashion Week has come to a close in Paris. After an unforgettable week of shows, here's a look at our top five takeouts!

THEME : REGAL
Blow out gowns, intricate beading and cinched waists left the audience feeling like they had just stepped into a fairytale at Paris Haute Couture

COLOUR : POWDER
Fresh powder blues helped to add that crisp, wintery element to the runways for AW18.

FABRIC : ORGANZA FEATHERS
Valentino’s soft pink organza gown stole the show. These fine, extra soft feathers added to the overall tone of femininity that was key this fashion week.

PRINT & PATTERN : PIECED TOGETHER
Inspired by art deco, these pieced together patterns came in the form of checkers, mosaics and distorted chevrons.

KEY ITEM : HIGH LOW DRESS
The high low dress was a core garment, regularly appearing throughout the couture shows. Hems started at the upper thigh, cascading downwards finishing at floor length.
