Tradeshows: Overriding Themes at Denim by Premiere Vision SS18

Following Denim by Premiere Vision’s return to Paris for the SS18 edition of the show, we share our top three overriding messages from the fabric fair.

Fabrics, treatments and finishes with an honest and authentic hand-touched quality. Hand loomed weaves continue to come through while design details including hand stitches, decorative embroideries, hand formed stripes and distressing all receive updates for the SS18 season.

Intriguingly tactile textures come through in heavy, authentic weights with a touch-me-feel-me quality. These range from magnified hopsack weaves, 3D stripes and herringbone inspired chevrons, reworked dobbies and stab stitch look denims.

A message of responsible manufacturing continued to dominate the show with weavers and manufacturers talking sustainability through zero water waste, recycled and organic cottons and eco finishing including laser washes.
