Jacket Required AW19/20: Our Top 5 Takeouts

On our latest trip to Jacket Required, we scoped out what will be making waves for the chilly AW19/20 season. We have pulled together our top five takeouts from the show that will be making a statement across retail for the upcoming season.

Tiger orange tones continue into AW19/20 with softer tones coming through in outerwear. Flat colour applications were commonly used as a base colour, helping to create a statement with bold pops across graphics and trims.

Punchy neon brights made a statement across casual wear with yellow tones being most popular. Pink, green and orange brights are starting to make their presence felt for AW19/20 and is something to keep an eye on for SS20.

Fabric blocking was in full swing as many designers showcased borg and nylon fabric combinations. Utility colour combinations were favoured with newness coming through in neon pops as well as ivory and sage.

The utility gillet was a key fashion item for AW19/20 with newness seen in contrast fabric blocking, bulkier cargo pockets and and chunky hiker details. Designers have started moving away from typical utility colourways and opted for brighter tones, creating a statement fashion piece for AW19/20.

The puffer jacket progresses into the upcoming season providing bright neon colour pops, new seam quilting techniques and popper closure details as seen by Arcminute. A wide variety of colourways were showcased with minimal graphic, slogan and branded details.
