London Fashion Week Womenswear Spring/Summer 19 : Top 5 Takeouts

Take a look at our top five takeouts from this years SS19 Womenswear shows in London!

COLOUR : COSMETICS

Cosmetic shades made an entry onto the runways with its calming neutral tone pulling classic looks together.

FABRIC : SHEERS

Silhouettes were created through semi-sheer chiffons and organzas, introducing elements of playful femininity onto the catwalks.

PRINT : ANTIQUE FLORALS

A key print for trans-seasonal pieces - drawing inspiration from old furnishing prints, they remain feminine, with their palettes adding a further element of luxury to the ensembles.

DETAIL : EXPOSED LEG

Intentionally cropped trouser legs were the outlandish detail statement of the week. Seen across formal and casual-wear, hems were high-cut, exposing the upper thigh.

KEY ITEM : CAPE

With a clear influence from the trench coat, this cape comes in neutral tones with a utility style look. Oversized pockets and popper style collars were key along with purposeful asymmetry across the silhouette.
