London Exhibitions: Another Kind of Life Photography on the Margins

Following a morning getting lost in the world of t-shirts at London's Fashion and Textile Museum, we headed to the Barbican Centre where Another Kind of Life: Photography on the Margins is showing.

A theme that we've seen across fashion, politics and popular culture a lot lately, and one that we highlighted in our Big ideas set to impact 2018 post, is that of inclusion and exclusion, the idea of equality and acceptance and the fight for it. This beautifully curated exhibition tackles the subject head on and doesn't shy away from difficult topics.

The subjects of the numerous photographers showcased vary from London's Teddy Boys of the 50s to todays sex workers of Mexico.

A moving and thought provoking look at what it's like to live on the fringes of society, we're excited that the coverage of this topic is growing. The exhibition is on until May 27th and we can't recommend it enough.
