Munich Fabric Start: Top 5 Takeouts

The BDA London Team headed to Munich to discover what will be making waves for the AW 19/20 season and these were their Top 5 key takeouts to keep an eye on for the season ahead.

Deep teals & iridescent greens came together to form a strong deep sea or space odyssey greens, seen across new season tweeds, high shine vinyls and large scale prints.

Iridescent and single tone metallics made a strong statement across fabrics for the AW 19/20 season. Metallic leathers, lames and drop sequins were all key fabrics here.

Almost neon citric tones came through across new season furs, sheer organzas and in pattern, combined with black in abstract printed or jacquard designs.

Double-faced fabrics continue to grow on popularity as multi-purpose and multi-way clothing becomes an ever important theme. Bonded leather/fur combinations, fleece backed knits and two-faced checks were amongst key looks this season.

Cracked and marble textures on washed black bases formed a solid monochromatic print and pattern for AW 19/20. These marbled textured were also seen across rich indigo denim jacquards, a relatively new area of exploration within denim production.
