OUR LDN: Alice

Hey! I'm Alice, a Creative Consultant here at BDA London. I was born in Norfolk, raised in France and have now been living in London for 6 years! I live in East but am partial to jumping on the tube and spending my weekend exploring so this guide will take you all over the city. I hope you enjoy these spots as much as I do...

Eat.

Androuet, Spitalfields. Melted cheese and bread, need I say more? In the heart of the market, this cheese shop come restaurant is one of my favourite spots for long, wine-drenched catch ups. Grab a table outside, snuggle up under one of their blankets and indulge in the most delicious fondue.

Hidden Gem.

Seymour's Parlour is hidden away behind Marble Arch, I stumbled upon it completely by chance and it's now a winter favourite. With roaring fires, dark wood & red walls, settle in for a cosy afternoon tea or spend your evening sipping on the most delicious (and warning, strong) cocktails. It never fails to make me feel festive, and for that, I love it.

Date Night.

Greenwich 1 Greenwich2

I'm kind of cheating here and in stead of picking one place, I'm gonna go with an area, Greenwich. Fancy a pub crawl? you could go for days. A nice meal? There's a great mix of independents and chains. A good laugh? Up the Creek comedy club is always a great time. Whenever I want to get out of London, without getting out of London, this is where I'll head.

Rainy Day.

I'm quickly realising that all of my favourite places revolve around food and drink, but why stop now, eh? If it's grey, miserable and wet outside then there's nothing I love more than getting my friends together and going for a bottomless boozy brunch. Whether it's a drag queen theme brunch at Rascals or something slightly more civilised at The Bourne and Hollingsworth Buildings, I'm game!

Shop.

It's not a hidden secret or somewhere nobody's heard of but I love it nonetheless. Columbia road is home to some of my favourite independent shops (Hello beautiful homeware!), eateries and of course, the weekly flower market. It can be busy and crowded and at times anger-inducing, but I don't care, It's one of my favourite Sunday spots.

Hope you enjoy exploring my London
