REPORT PREVIEW

Womenswear SS27 Forecast

Chaotic optimism, tactile textures and bursts of bold colour

Rebel girls against the algorithm

Our SS27 Womenswear Report forecasts a vivid feminine pushback against monotony.

Women are looking for more connection with the physical world as they eschew algorithmic mediocrity. They want to engage with intimate communities, laying trust in human tastemakers. There's a desire for experiences that immerse them through sound, scent, sight and touch.

In short, they want to break out – and this will become apparent in their style. The SS27 consumer will express rebellion, whether that’s through a tough exterior of highly structured pieces, or through a more subdued insistence on colour and tone that reflect our challenged organic world.

Hard will combine with soft; leathers and sharp tailoring will pair with sensual detailing, silks and taffeta. There will also be a touch of the surreal, with bold colours in ballooned shapes that distort the mainstream figure. These details reflect a readiness to challenge, but also a willingness to expose a vulnerable underbelly.

I’m thrilled to introduce you to our latest womenswear report. It’s 174 pages filled with colour palettes, fabrics, prints, key looks and product capsules that truly present the chaotic optimism projected for SS27.
