SolidNature & OMA, Beyond The Surface
SolidNature displayed a wonderland exhibition at Milan Design Week, ‘Beyond The Surface’ designed by Ellen Van Loon and Giulio Margheri of OMA.
Set in the basement of the Neo-Romanesque Casa Maveri, visitors ventured into a parallel universe below ground, and into the realm of sleep. The exhibition included a series of illusory installations responding to themes such as ‘Confrontation’, ‘Revelation’ and ‘Patience’ – each exhibiting various approaches to designing with natural stone.

Loewe, Loewe Chairs at Salone Del Mobile
At Milan's Palazzo Isimbardi courtyard, Loewe presented a collection of playful chairs that showcased experimentation with unconventional materials and colours.
The designs featured handwoven materials by expert craftspeople from around the world, to reinvent and transform everyday objects into one-of-a-kind pieces. The exhibition demonstrated how weaving and embellishment can be tools for avant-garde design, allowing Loewe to reinvent humble objects.
