Squid Game Launches in South Korea


Netflix’s Squid Game has been a hit amongst viewers, making it the most viewed show on the platform. Brands are capitalising on the trend as a hotel, in the Gangwon Province of South Korea, hosts their own version (without murder). The final prize is worth 5 million KRW (approximately £3,075) with the event following the format of the games for a real-life experience.

The Debenhams Digital Relaunch


Following Boohoo’s acquisition of Debenhams, the department store has been relaunched as an online marketplace with an emphasis on fashion, beauty, sports and homeware. The site will run on the Mirakl Marketplace Platform, which will apply a digital-first strategy, driving the Debenham’s towards the goal of being the UK’s largest marketplace across the specialised categories.

Following Ferrari’s fashion debut, Hyundai Motor has launched a fashion collection in partnership with L’Eclaireur and Boontheshop. The Re:Style collection is made from discarded materials used in vehicles like seatbelts and airbags, emphasising an eco-friendly message. The athleisure collection will be available for a limited time, with the proceeds being reinvested into future sustainable projects.

Another luxury fashion house enters the booming kidswear market as The Row debuts a bold knitwear capsule for the upcoming autumn/winter season. The range centres comfort and ease through cozy pieces and unisex styles, removing restrictions on what a child can and can’t wear. The collection comprises cashmere sweaters, trousers, cardigans, beanies and slip-on footwear in complimentary blue, pink, orange and green pops.
