Jacket Required provided exciting new colours, fabrics and silhouettes for the upcoming spring summer '20 season. As 90s nostalgia trends continue to gain momentum, brands like Pop 84 and Lotto have relaunched, bringing back archived designs in contrast to the presence of streetwear and athleisure that deemed to dominate the show. Here are a few takeouts of what we think will be making waves across retail for SS20...
ACID TONES
Citrus hues with lime undertones offered a move on from neon volt hues. Softer saturations provided a fresh colourway for SS20 seen across the casual space in either a colour pop or statement flat colours for a fashion forward offering.
CRINKLED NYLON
Nylon fabrications continue to grow in popularity with crinkled surface textures varying between matte, soft sheens and two-tone details.
TIE-DYE TAKEOVER
Tie-dyes were the key fashion print for SS20 seen across the casual space in a variety of multi-coloured and tonal colour ways.
3D SLOGANS
Rubberised badges and lettering in 3D shapes provided an elevated and premium feel to core and fashion commodities as well as making a bold statement for accessories.
REFLECTIVE
Reflective details were the favoured choice across the casual and athleisure space, creating a more technical and sporty aesthetic to commodities and accessories. Seen as fully fabricated POV items, taping, sport stripes and slogan statements.
