Attending Milan Design Week earlier this week, we were pleased to witness its energetic buzz as attendees flocked to the various events spotlighting homeware innovation. With a wide scope of brands debuting their dynamic collections across the city, Milan Design Week can feel a little overwhelming, so we have selected a few of our top picks across the city this weekend.
The Salone del Mobile Expo
Located in Rho Fiera, 2,000 exhibitors gather to display the best in homeware innovation. Covering living, kitchen, bedroom, outdoor, bathroom and workplace categories, the expansive trade fair features intel across the entire home, providing vast design inspiration.

Stella McCartney: Future of Fashion
Following the release of the brand’s mycelium bag, Stella McCartney debuts the rest of its fungi collection, centring the power of the mushroom. Exhibit interiors are adorned with a collaborative Forest Fungi print wallpaper in partnership with Cole & Son, alongside an armchair collaboration with B&B Italia that can be disassembled at the end of its lifecycle.

Hermès
In a large warehouse, mesmerising glowing sculptures are seen incubating vivid homeware covered in geometric patterns positioned on platforms of paper pulp. The colourful towers themselves are an example of imaginative and eco-conscious design, set to be completely recycled and repurposed following design week.

Architecture studio HomeSweetHome captures the importance of biodiversity as its roof garden offers an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. The green-filled rooftop fosters a diverse ecosystem of insects as its urban oasis highlights the possibilities of preserving biodiversity in cities.
