eBay Store Accepts Pre-Owned Luxury as Currency


eBay has opened a new store called the Luxury Exchange that will accept pre-owned luxury items as a currency to use in-store. When customers enter the store, their luxury items will be assigned a value with which they will then be able to shop the store’s catalogue. Items such as jewellery, handbags and watches from top brands such as Gucci, Rolex, Balenciaga, can be exchanged and shopped.

Alessandro Michele is leaving Gucci after nearly eight years as Creative Director. Having worked under both previous creative directors Tom Ford and Frida Giannini, he started a revolution in 2015, transforming Gucci into a symbol of eccentric and gender-fluid style. “Today an extraordinary journey ends for me…within a company to which I have tirelessly dedicated all my love and creative passion.”

Makeup brand Mac Cosmetics, known for its cosmetics and network of professional make-up artists, is venturing further into the growing skincare market with its new range, Hyper Real. Their goal is for at least 30% of its beauty customers to also use its skincare products in the next three years.

Rapper and entrepreneur Snoop Dogg has launched a new line of apparel and accessories for dogs in partnership with SMAC Entertainment and Little Earth Productions, Inc. Snoop Doggie Doggs pulls inspiration from the rapper’s lifestyle, encouraging pet owners to spoil their dogs “to live like royalty in their everyday lives”.
